Williams & Sivie’s Very Important Patient of the Week, Kim Burch!

We are so proud to honor Kim Burch as our patient of the week for inspiring us with her and her families works with the Casa Hogar Elim orphanage in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico.  During Kim’s appointment, we started talking about how handy her husband was.  His is a fireman with the Plano fire department but he also is a plumber and carpenter in his spare time.  Kim and her husband did a lot of volunteer work with their local church  but wanted to do more, help people who really were in need.  Come to find out, Kim, her husband and their children have been driving to Mexico to volunteer with the CHE orphanage on a regular basis.

The Casa Hogar Elim orphanage is a privately run orphanage that helps over one hundred children in the Nuevo Laredo area at any given time.  Since it is privately run, they operate without government aid.  Volunteers and donations are what keep CHE operating and keep food on the table.  While Kim’s husband is doing repairs on the facility, Kim and the kids are interacting and helping the kids.  It has been a family choice that they have made to go so frequently that really got our attention.

Of course, when we asked Kim to be our patient of the week she so graciously said that she would be glad to but only if we could use it to raise awareness for CHE.  Kim, your generosity and modesty is  inspiring.  We do have much to be grateful for, and we are grateful for patients like you!  Interested in learning more about CHE?  Check out
