We Love Our Moms And Here’s Why… How About You?

SHE MAY HAVE TAUGHT YOU how to count, how to share your toys, and how to brush your teeth. And although each of our family dynamics vary greatly, one thing is certain… There’s really no way that we can adequately pay back our moms for the gift of life.

Mother’s Day Is A Chance To Say, “Thanks, Mom”

We’d like to add our voices to the chorus and share an expression of thanks to each of our moms. We’d love to hear YOURS too!

From Our Team:

We asked each team member to share a thought or favorite memory about their own mom:

From Janell:

“My mom is an incredibly kind and selfless lady. Growing up, she often sacrificed time and energy to give us whatever we needed. Some of my favorite memories with her were simply riding around in the car singing and listening to “oldies” songs on the radio.”

From Kathleen:

“My mother provided me with countless memories that I will always keep and I hope I can keep her alive to my children. My mother was always so generous. Being the youngest of 8 kids, mom always made me feel like I was the only child. She managed to spend time with each of us and would always make moments fun and teachable. My mom was shy but when you could spend time with her, she would let loose. My mom has passed away and she is dearly missed, however, each of us have a part of her so she is still alive in our hearts. She loved us enough to ask where we were going, loved us enough to be silent when our friends were being mean and let us find out for ourselves, loved us enough to say “no”. I could go on and on…”

From Dr. Brad:

“My mom has always been the “blueprint” for other moms! Most of my friends described her as “June Cleaver” when I was growing up. A special note in your lunch, a favorite dessert when you got home, anything to make your day special and let you know you were loved. I am blessed to still have my mom and dad with me and they continue to make us feel special every day! Love ya, MOM.”

From Karen:

“My mom and dad had 5 children in 5 years. Whenever anyone of us were sick, my mom kept a bedside vigil until we were well again. She not only cared for us but she always made sure we got a “sick” present. All of my siblings are now over 50 and we still get “sick” presents. Also, we grew up in Houston in the late 70’s and the streets would flood when it would rain. She made it fun by baking cookies, playing games and allowing us to play in the flooded streets. I am never sad when it rains because it reminds me of good times!”
